ELICOS Teachers Due to exciting growth and rapid expansion, we need additional ELICOS Teachers (casual or full-time) who will report to our Academic Manager, Mr Nathan Stone. Relief Teachers are also welcome to register their interest and availability. To be successful with this position, applicants must meet requirements stipulated by NEAS Australia: www.neas.org.au/home/ For teaching ESL in Australia, a strong knowledge of slang and colloquial is preferable as an important element of communicative skills, given the original nature of the Australian language, because it is difficult to communicate with Australians, unless one has some grasp of the idioms and colloquialisms that make the language so colourful. Not only is culture an aspect of communicative competence, it is the underlying dimension of what one knows and does.
