Lou’s Place - A Safe Place for Women

MEGA staff member’s Academic Manger Robyn Foy (left) and  paid a welcomed visit to DEBORAH BANKS JP Executive Manager of Lou’s Place located in Kings cross to hand over the Christmas hamper that students of  Macquarie Grammar School  and Macquarie institute had kindly donated. Macquarie Grammar students from year 10,11and 12 along with Diploma students from the Institute all come from a variety of international backgrounds and cultures. When asked to donate to a charity I was surprised at the response. Once we had researched and decided on Lou’s Place the students were curious to know more and what they could do to help. Lou’s place is as it says “A safe place for women”. When we spoke with Deborah both Robyn and I were deeply touched by the devotion and compassion that Deborah and the volunteers give daily to support women in need from 18 -80 and do not discriminate due to social and economic  background .Donations are always welcome and MEGA will be doing everything possible to raise awareness and support for such a worthwhile organization MEGA hopes Deborah, her staff and all the women at Lou’s Place had the happiest Christmas and will have our continuous support for the NEW YEAR.
